Outing with Isireli and Manoa Vuetibau–May 10, 2014

Fokie has two sons that will both be leaving on missions in the next few months.  Isi already has his papers in and Manoa is just beginning to work on his.

We thought it would be fun to take her kids on an outing before we leave.  But our little red car is far too small to take all four of them, so we decided to take the boys this week and next week take the girls.

We picked up Isi and Manoa and drove out to TDolphins - Isi and Manoa17a10akalana to spend a few hours with the dolphins.  They were both good sports to go along with two oldies.  It was cloudy in Suva when we left, but by the time we got there it was clearing up nicely.

Isi and Manoa have never snorkeled before, but had no hesitancy in trying.  It was low tide and when we got out to the reef the dolphins were very visible.  It was so fun to ride among them.  There were  few spins, but mostly they just jumped up in those graceful arcs they make and played tag with the boat.  I think we all loved it, it was amazing.

Then we snorkeled.  It was a bit breezy and so it was a bit rough to be in the water, but we all seemed to have a good time.  We even got a few pics of Isi sitting in the front of the boat sporting his snorkel.  And I know that he took a few “selfies” of himself.

After lunch we headed back and thank heaven Dew could stay awake, because the other three of us slept most of the way back.  It had rained just a bit early in the morning, and then was beautiful, but as we drove home we found a huge boulder had slid down and was sitting in the middle of the road.  Glad we didn’t happen to be there when it decided to make its move.
